Meet Our Leaders
Trey Nash, Chief Financial Officer
Trey has over 10 years of healthcare management experience, including financial leadership, human resource administration, and information technology within both not-for-profit and for-profit settings.
Trey earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Houston-Downtown and a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.
Corina Humphreys, Chief Operating Officer
Corina simply loves helping people. Her concern for others is evident in all she does as she works to ensures that patients are helped through the healthcare process efficiently.
At our hospital, Corina has discharge planning and case management responsibilities. These responsibilities come on the heels of 22 years of experience as a social worker with 10 of those years in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. She says she fell in love with rehabilitation when in her first year of employment she witnessed a 102-year-old woman walk out of the hospital after receiving rehabilitation for hip surgery.
Corina earned a bachelor’s degree in social work at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, and a master’s degree in social work at the University of Texas-Pan American in Edinburg, Texas. Currently, she is a candidate for a master’s in business administration in healthcare management at Our Lady of the Lake University, La Feria, Texas branch.
In addition to her professional responsibilities and academic work, Corina is Ernest Health’s co-facilitator for Neuro Committee Development and Disease Specific Certification. She also serves as vice president of Rio Grande Center Citizens Volunteer Council.
Landelina Cordova, Director of Patient Outcomes
Landelina is committed to the well-being of her patients. She brings that same compassionate commitment to supervising and directing the therapy staff.
After teaching for nine years, Landelina made a career change to occupational therapy because she wanted to make a difference for patients who were recovering from disabling impairments. Now, nearly seven years later, Landelina is still happy with her decision.
“It’s great to help somebody regain life skills after a disabling injury or illness,” she says. Landelina lives the quote, “Patients First!” as she believes there’s no better guide to directing each and every decision made daily when providing patient care.
Landelina earned a bachelor’s degree in 1994 from Pan American University in Edinburg, Texas and also maintains a lifetime teacher certification. She also earned a master’s degree in 2008 from the University of Texas – Pan American in Edinburg, Texas. She is a member of the American Occupational Therapy Association and is certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
In her spare time, Landelina spends time with her family, and supports local sports and youth programs in her community.
Rashmi Chandran, Director of Therapy Operations
As Director of Therapy Operations, Rashmi believes that good health is an individual’s principle asset. “If we can give that back to someone, then we are doing the most fortunate and most blessed work there is,” she says.
Rashmi is a board certified physical therapist, member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, and member of the American Physical Therapy Association. She is a certified clinical instructor for physical therapy students. She graduated with a physical therapy degree from Dr. D Y Patil University in India, and then completed doctor of physical therapy-level requirements for the state of Texas. She did post-graduate work in medical law and hospital management at Symbiosis International University in India, and earned a master’s degree in business administration from Argosy International University in Florida.
With nearly a decade of healthcare experience, Rashmi has worked in various areas including geriatrics, pediatrics, workers compensation, neurology, vestibular rehabilitation, and orthopedics. She enjoys volunteering in the community and has participated in Down syndrome walks and volunteered with beauty pageants for individuals with disabilities. In her personal time, she enjoys playing nursery rhymes on TV and dancing with her daughter.
Rita Mata-Guerrero, Director of Nursing Operations
Rita’s passion for nursing and excellent patient care has been instrumental in the hospital’s excellent nursing outcomes. As a nurse for 17 years, Rita has plenty of hands-on experience serving patients and their families in rehabilitative care, management and obstetrics.
Rita earned an associate’s degree in nursing from the University of Texas at Brownsville in Brownsville, Texas, and is a certified rehabilitation registered nurse. She is a member of the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses.
Rita loves to spend time with her family, as her two twin boys fulfill her life beyond words.
Art Gutierrez, Director of Plant Operations
Art brings more than 20 years of experience to his work in overseeing the hospital’s everyday maintenance to ensure the safety of the hospital’s physical building.
Art earned an associate’s degree in applied science at Texas State Technical College, Harlingen, Texas, and then proceeded to earn another associate’s degree in respiratory therapy at Independence University online.
Art is married and enjoys fishing.
Letty Mann, Area Director of Marketing & Business Development
Letty leads our admissions and clinical liaison teams. Her passion to promote excellent care in south Texas comes through in everything she does.
Letty’s background includes more than 19 years of marketing and public relations experience across the Rio Grande Valley. Acute care hospital settings in both Brownsville and Harlingen have benefitted from her work, and she has an extensive background in healthcare service line development and community outreach initiatives.
Letty studied business administration at the University of Texas at Brownsville, Texas. She is married with two children. When not working, she enjoys the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and scrapbooking.
Elsa Quintero, Director of Marketing and Business Development
Elsa thoroughly enjoys sharing the news about Weslaco Regional Rehabilitation Hospital with the community. She brings the hospital 12 years of experience in marketing and public relations.
Elsa graduated from the University of Texas – Pan American in Edinburg, Texas, with a double major in advertising/public relations and broadcast. She then continued on to earn a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix in Houston.
The most important life moments for Elsa have been the birth of her two children, Daniela and Erik. She is thankful for the many blessings she and her family have received. She enjoys working at Weslaco Regional Rehabilitation Hospital because of the great impact we have in people’s lives.
Jennifer Garcia, Human Resource Manager
Jennifer brings with her over 12 years of healthcare experience, having worked at South Texas Rehabilitation Hospital, an Ernest Health sister-facility. There she was responsible for medical staff credentialing and assisted in the start up and licensure. Her background includes over seven years’ experience as a project coordinator for Cameron County. She truly believes in teamwork and works to ensure that the staff feel like family at WRRH.
Jennifer earned a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Texas at Brownsville and resides in Brownsville with her husband and son.
She is actively involved in the community, having served on numerous civic and non-profit boards.
